Grammar 7: “No Red Ink”

EDIT: During a discussion with Grammar 7, Period 6 on Thursday, students expressed interest in trying “No Red Ink” as a short, weekly homework assignment. The post below is instructions on how to set it up.


Grammar 7 students will be taking a diagnostic grammar test during the block period sometime in the next week or two. Students will be asked to complete short, interactive grammar lessons in their free time and at home, when they are not working on their blogs.

How is class structured?

Both teachers and students may have questions about the general structure of my classroom. In general, I favor project-based curriculum that emphasizes individualized student attention. Here is a screenshot of my current plan for the rest of the year. Please note that 6th graders will be completing an ongoing “poem of the week” project, and the 7th graders will be completing an ongoing blog project.
